'This one is for 4x4 vehicles only, drove it today and it was 18-24" deep! Up to the headlights of my discovery at one point!'

Burn of Aultmore (x2!)

NJ455561 (3*) Suitable for All
NJ454551 (3*) Off-Roaders Only!
Sent in by Dereek Collie (02/06/2011)

The first is suitable for all, but is about 8-10" deep (Image 1). The second one is only for 4x4 vehicles as the access road to it is pretty bad in places with deep ruts and washouts (Image 2).

Glenlivet
NJ200293 (3*) Off-Roaders Only!
Sent in by John Brown (20/09/2004)

'Close to the famous malt whisky distillery, an unmade local lane fords the River Livet. Although you could get to either bank in a car (and walk across the high footbridge alongside), the ford itself is about 20ft across and well over a foot deep (after rain, anyway), so is really one for 4x4s.'

'I crossed this Ford in late October 2013. The track to the Ford from the main road is very deeply rutted now. I had a straddle the track to avoid bottoming out in my 4x4 Skoda Yeti. Even after rain the ford itself was not too deep but probably unsuitable for normal cars. The footbridge is ideal for photographs. Seems to be in regular use as we met a farmer in a tractor.' Scoot More
NJ170380 (3*) Off-Roaders Only!
Sent in by Steven Brown (25/08/2012)

'The track appears not to have been used this year, and the stream was in spate. The access is gated, but this looks as though it could still easily be crossed by a 4X4.'
