'It is for serious off-roaders only, and access would be restricted to M/cycles only. It is situated in the middle of Rostrevor Forest Park, County Down. It is not always open, and is part of a firebreak road, and bridle path, but leads to spectacular views over Carlingford Lough, and the Irish Republic.
Directions as follows; take the main A2 too rostrevor. On entering Rostrevor, follow signs for Hilltown, the Forest park is signposted a short distance from the town on the right handside.'

'Just off the Clonallan Road at the east end of the town of Warrenpoint, County Down. Grid ref (Irish grid) IJ 15870 18760. This ford is about 25 feet across and at the time of visiting had a depth of between 6” & 9” water flowing over it. The approaches are gravel and the base has at one time been formed of large granite setts, most of those are still in place but there are deep potholes where some are missing. It is easy to steer a course to miss these holes'
