"Pretty ford with cobbled base on Old Kittle Road near the church and accessed from the B4436 (the new Kittle Road !). Ford signs but no depth gauge and unfortunately no water either on this August visit !"

'Ford crossing passes 2 residential homes, base is solid, not stony, unless washed down. slight entry angle probably best to cross this in a 4x4. Road is a BOAT and is driveable to all vehicles.'

'On the Gower peninsula. Short and and shallow, adjacent to the public road but actually looks like it is part of the private access to the farm. Pebble, gravel, and sand bottom. There is a footbridge a few yards away for the footpath that runs along the lane towards the farm. Adjacent to the footbridge there is also a 'road bridge' for the farm track. Look as though this ford might be used for heavier vehicles to avoid straining the bridge. With caution could be crossed in an ordinary car.'

'On a byway Approx 6 miles ( as the crow flies ) East of Neath in South Wales. It's a small stream approx 1 mile long that joins the Afon Afan river. The base of the ford is packed brick shaped stone blocks and the water depth is approx 3-4".Access is only via a 4x4.'

"South of Dunvent at the end of Dool Lane which is metalled up to the ford but unmetaled beyond it no signage or depth gauge and no more than a puddle in August."

'The Marsh road between Lougher and Gowerton gets flooded every high tide. Image 1 shows my Disco about 45 mins after the tide went out, the water was up to the bottom of the windows....Note the Lack of Snorkel - Now rectified!'
